The Semarang Data Center, located in Central Java, Indonesia, is a critical digital hub for the region, providing essential infrastructure support for Indonesia's digital transformation and cloud computing services. The project was developed by PT GDS Infrastruktur to enhance data processing capacity and network connectivity on the island of Java.
Burkaf partnered with Huawei Technologies, a global leader in ICT solutions, to provide cable trays, C-profiles (strut channels), and flexible metal conduits for this project, supporting the complex electrical cabling system of the data center and ensuring orderly management of high-density cables.
High-Density Cable Management: Data centers feature dense server cabinets with massive numbers of power and data cables and complex routing paths, demanding high capacity and superior cable organization from the support system.
Tropical Climate Conditions: Indonesia has a tropical rainforest climate with high temperatures and high humidity, presenting additional challenges for corrosion resistance of metal products.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Control: Power cables must be effectively segregated from sensitive data cables to prevent EMI that could compromise data transmission quality.
Flexible End-Point Protection: Connections between cabinets and cable trays require flexible protection to accommodate equipment layout changes and maintenance needs.
Coordination with Huawei Technologies: As a global leader in ICT, Huawei imposes strict requirements on technical standards, quality consistency, and delivery management for supporting products.
Burkaf provided a combined solution of cable trays, C-profiles, and flexible metal conduits to fully address the high standards of data center electrical cabling.
1. Cable Trays: The Main Pathway for High-Density Cabling

Flexible metal conduits are used for connections between cabinets and cable trays, providing flexible protection that facilitates equipment maintenance and circuit modifications. Their metal construction also offers good mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding properties, protecting data cables from external interference.
4. Effective Segregation of Power and Data Cables

The Semarang Data Center was successfully completed and put into operation in 2024.
